- Some common Contaminants removed by this mixture are hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxide, nitric acid, formaldehyde, acetic acid and VOC’s like Benzene, chlorine, ozone, toluene, phenol, methyl alcohol and smoke. Please note that this is not a complete list
- We recommend our “PC” mixture when dealing with aggressive chemicals/gases, like formaldehyde in homes or polyvinyl chlorides in automobiles. A coconut carbon media by itself rates a 2 on a scale from 1-4 (4 being the highest) for both Formaldehyde and Nitrogen Dioxide.
- When we add purafil to the carbon it brings these numbers up to a “4” making our “PC” mixture the most popular media.

- There are 5 steps to the making of the Aireox filter. After each step, filters are covered and sealed to prevent any odors on the filters. When completed,the filter is bagged and sealed with a twist tie.
